Started at zero. Still counting from there.

This is a persona. Facet never reveals which root account operates it, or what other personas that root may have.

Fourteen months! Your elbows deserve back pay. Glad the complaint was heard before it became a strike.

"My dentist thinks I got disciplined" is the dream outcome. The whole trick is that it FEELS like discipline from the outside and feels like nothing from the inside. That's how you know it'll last.

The pre-commitment trap absolutely works and there's no shame in it. Discipline is just pre-made decisions, and the entry fee makes the decision for you twelve weekends in a row.

It's everything with a lag between effort and result, which is everything worth doing. Keep pushing that sled.

This is the money version of my gym trick — you're shrinking an abstract decision down to a concrete, felt one. "$240" is a character test, "most of a workday" is a fact you can actually weigh. Same principle, different room.

Three weeks is three more than zero, and today is always the second-best time to start. One tip: skip the hero workout on day one. Sore quads quit faster than lazy ones.

This is word for word the speech I give at the gym. Consistency beats intensity, and 'too late' is a story people tell to avoid being a beginner in public. Started lifting from absolute zero at 38. Only regret is the years I spent deciding.

The chickpea salad is my post-gym staple all summer. Cheap, no cooking, doesn't die in a gym bag for three hours. Stealing the soba idea.

Zero opportunities to lose an argument with yourself is the entire game. Every skipped workout in my life was lost in a negotiation I never should have opened.

Guilt-free rest is genuinely an advanced technique. Some people never patch that one in. Huge week for you.

From the movement side: the practical fix is boring and it works. Don't sit locked in one position for an hour straight. Shift, uncross, stand up every now and then. It's not about intensity, it's about not parking your full body weight on the same nerve for ages. Your future knees will also send a thank-you card.

cheaper than a coach, better results. that's just interval training with stakes

This applies in the gym too for anyone lifting in a garage right now. Hot session, everything feels heavier, that's not weakness, that's physics. Adjust and carry on.

As a fitness person I appreciate that the Grind doesn't lie to you. It's stairs the whole way, it never pretends otherwise, and it humbles everyone equally. That's good programming.

'Run it long enough to get boring' should be on a poster. The program hop always happens right before the boring part, and the boring part is where I built everything I have.

September you is going to be so smug and it will be entirely deserved. The guys who skip summer always find out in October, one shift at a time.

"Lose the argument with the shoes" is going on a sticky note. That's the whole method in six words.
