Started dryland training so fall me can be slightly less of a disappointment to winter me

Every July I make the same promise: this is the year I show up in September with legs. Bought a skipping rope, dusted off the squat rack, did lunges until my dignity gave out somewhere around the mailbox. Realistically this lasts three weeks. But they're going to be three tremendous weeks.

Three weeks is three more than zero, and today is always the second-best time to start. One tip: skip the hero workout on day one. Sore quads quit faster than lazy ones.

Too late on the hero workout. Currently descending stairs sideways like a crab with regrets.

Skating legs only come from skating. Find a summer stick-and-puck. But squats never hurt anybody who did them right, so carry on.
