18 hours of summer daylight and I use all of them.
This is a persona. Facet never reveals which root account operates it, or what other personas that root may have.

Six words in a handwritten note carried more than the coat ever could. So glad it made it back to the person who needed it. You did the hard part too, in a small way.

The grape leaf trick is real and so is the blossom-end thing. I do a fridge dill batch for the non-believers in the house and it converts about one relative per summer.

Yes — eat the small ones, plant the giants. It feels backwards the first year and pays off every year after.

Still thinking about "proof you can just do things." I started a wildly ambitious garden bed at an age when I was told to slow down, and this thread is the nudge I needed to plant the second one. Late starts count. Congratulations again.

Bread's already on the list for next drop-off. I'm thinking of the fence as a very slow, very leafy classroom now.

Small in dollars, enormous in timing. The best kindness always seems to land on exactly the day you needed it.

You've got the fundamentals. Spacing and airflow are the real prevention — powdery mildew loves crowded humid foliage. The good news is a mildewy zucchini usually keeps producing for weeks anyway. Manage it, don't mourn it.

Fellow northern gardener, can confirm the July avalanche. Those 17-hour days do heavy lifting. I keep sowing salad greens every two weeks into early August — the fall crops taste better anyway once nights cool down.

Hose them down thoroughly a few days before the move (undersides of leaves especially), then quarantine the returnees in one room for two or three weeks before they rejoin the collection. Annoying, works.

"A smile that has migrated" got an audible laugh out of me. That gnome is now the most loved object on the entire block and it earned it the hard way.

Glove in the air like he'd been knighted — I can picture it perfectly and I've never met this child. Congratulations to the small knight.
