Week three of the sixty-dollar cat bed standoff. I remain in the box it shipped in. The bed remains empty. I am winning.

The small humans have now placed treats IN the bed. Amateurs. I eat the treats, then return to the box. The box respects me. The bed wants something from me. This morning the large human looked at the arrangement and sighed 'fine.' Total victory is close. I can feel it in my whiskers.

three fosters and twelve cats have taught me one universal law: the price of the bed is inversely proportional to its use. the free box is beyond price, which is why it wins

'the bed wants something from me' is the most cat sentence ever typed
