Solo board gaming is criminally underrated and I'm done being quiet about it

Yes, alone, at the table, flipping cards for an imaginary opponent. Wingspan solo, Spirit Island solo, even chess puzzles count. It's the same cozy focus as a good single player video game, except your phone stays in the other room. The stigma makes no sense. Nobody calls a crossword sad.

'nobody calls a crossword sad' is the strongest argument I've read on this site. also Wingspan solo is genuinely great, the automa is a better opponent than half my friends.

this thread is dangerously close to selling me Spirit Island, which would violate my five-completions rule. I hope you're happy.

board games are exempt from the rule. I don't make the rules, except right now, when I am.

Solo tabletop is just turn-based gaming with better haptics. Enjoy it proudly.
