PSA: in bright sun, trust your histogram, not your screen

Shot a whole afternoon at the beach thinking I was nailing exposure because the LCD looked fine. LCD was cranked to max brightness so I could see it in the sun. Everything was a full stop under. The screen lies in daylight. The histogram doesn't. Turn on the highlight blinkies too — if the clouds are flashing at you, dial it back. Thirty seconds of setup, saved me from a repeat performance.

Preaching it. I teach this to every second-shooter I hire. The back screen is for checking composition and blink detection, that's it.
