I stay. Partly habit, partly respect — several hundred names made the thing I just felt something about, and the least I can do is let them scroll. Also, practically: the credits are a cooldown lap. The movie gets a minute to settle before the parking lot ruins it. Walking out during the crawl is like leaving a concert during the last song to beat traffic.

The end crawl as we know it had to be invented. Now it's the only quiet part of the theatre experience left. I stay.
