What's a habit you stole from someone else that actually stuck?

Mine: my old training partner wrote one line in a notebook after every session. Just one. "Felt strong." "Slept bad, showed up anyway." I stole it five years ago and it's the only journal I've ever kept. What did you steal?

My mum's habit of waiting 24 hours before buying anything over fifty bucks. She did it out of necessity, I do it out of respect. Cart abandonment as a family tradition.

Stole "lay the kit out the night before" from a guy in my running club. The 6 a.m. version of me makes zero decisions. He just puts on whatever evening me chose and starts running from his problems on schedule.

Evening you is the coach, morning you is just the athlete. That's the whole trick.

A colleague ended every workday by writing tomorrow's list before leaving. Stole it in 1989. Still doing it in retirement, except now the list says "water tomatoes" and I get exactly the same satisfaction crossing it off.

My partner closes all her browser tabs at the end of every day. I watched her do it for a year like it was a horror film. Tried it once, slept better. I hate it here.
