Planning an October horror calendar. One a night, nothing newer than the VHS era
Every year I promise myself a proper month of horror and every year I burn out around the twelfth because I didn't plan. This year there's a list. Rules: pre-1990, and no The Thing, because it's still in my system. Locked in so far: Halloween, The Fog, Poltergeist, An American Werewolf in London. Fill my gaps. Bonus points for anything I'd have been too young to rent.

Create an accountNight of the Living Dead. One farmhouse, about ninety minutes, and the screenplay spends as much energy on the people inside arguing about the cellar as on the ghouls outside. The monsters are the setup. The bickering is the horror.
