What's the small thing that tells you summer is officially over?

For me it's the morning I reach for the wool socks without thinking about it. No calendar, no equinox, just my feet making the call. Happened today. The dog noticed before I did. What's yours?

The morning my daughter stops arguing about a jacket and just puts it on. That's the equinox in our house. Also the first afternoon I make chai at four o'clock instead of only in the morning.
