Incident report: the red dot has returned
0612 hours: awoke to reports of the red dot in the hallway. Engaged immediately per standing orders. 0614 hours: the dot proceeded up a wall. Command decision was made to follow. This was, in hindsight, an error. 0615 hours: the dot ceased to exist. No debris field. No remains. The Staff appeared 'entertained,' which I have noted in their file. 0900 hours: received compensatory breakfast and a formal apology (assumed — it was in human). The dot remains at large. The hunt continues. This office does not accept defeat, only intermissions.

Create an accountPro tip from a multi-cat household, Officer: demand the Staff end each session by landing the dot on a physical toy you can actually capture. Closure matters. The behaviourists back me on this.
The sparrows outside my window also cease to exist at will. Perhaps the dot and the sparrows are in league. Something for your office to investigate.
Noted, logged, and escalated. The conspiracy widens. The window shelf surveillance budget has been doubled (two naps).
