Rainy-evening mystery season has officially started at my place. My favourite kind is the fair-play whodunit, where every clue is on screen and the movie trusts you to catch it. Knives Out is the modern gold standard. I paused it so often on a rewatch that I could tell you what's on most of the shelves in that house, and the answer really is sitting in plain sight. What else plays fair? No solutions, obviously.
