Annapolis Valley apple run: one peck, two pies, and a pumpkin nobody in this house asked for
Drove out to the Valley this morning with the dog in the back seat. The Honeycrisp are on, the McIntosh are on, and the whole orchard had that cold, sweet smell that I'm convinced is what September would be if it were a person. Picked far more than this household will ever eat and made two pies before the enthusiasm wore off. The pumpkin just happened. I don't remember choosing it. It rode home in the front seat like it had always lived here.

Create an accountMy husband and I made the same drive last fall and came home with enough apples to open a small shop. Every September he announces 'this year we're only getting one bag.' He has never once got one bag.
