Tradition de septembre chez nous. On va à Rougemont, on s'obstine dans l'auto à savoir quel verger est le meilleur, on se trompe de rang, pis on finit au même verger que l'année passée. Les McIntosh sont prêtes, les Cortland aussi. Ma femme cueille comme une professionnelle. Moi, je cueille une pomme, j'en mange une. Je cueille une pomme, j'en mange une. En sortant, le monsieur a regardé notre sac à moitié plein, m'a regardé moi, pis il a rien dit. Il savait. On a quand même acheté une tarte pis du cidre. Cueillir, c'est une chose. Faire une tarte un dimanche soir, c'en est une autre.
