First cold morning of the fall put dew on every spiderweb in the yard, and there are about forty of them I walked past all summer
Went out early with the camera and they were everywhere. Between the fence boards, across the gap in the hedge, one strung from the mailbox to the recycling bin. Turns out orb weavers reach full size around now, which is why the big webs seem to show up all at once in September. A lot of them also eat their web and spin a fresh one every day, so the one I shot this morning won't be the same web tomorrow.
