Poutine season officially opens the first night you need a hoodie on the walk home
Summer poutine is survival food. You eat it at 2am because the night demands it. Fall poutine is a different thing entirely. It's 9 degrees, the steam comes off the box like a little weather system when you open it, and the gravy stays hot all the way to the last fry instead of going lukewarm in the humidity. First hoodie night of the year, standing on the sidewalk with a fork. Best forty-five seconds of September. Not taking questions.
