Did an old-account cleanup using my password manager as the map. 140 logins in there, about 60 now deleted

A password manager is also a list of every place you've ever made an account. So I sorted by last used and went through everything I hadn't touched in years: a forum for a hobby I dropped, three abandoned shopping sites, a photo printing service, and something called a 'rewards hub' I have no memory of joining. Why bother: a forgotten account is still holding your name, email, maybe an address or a saved card, on a site that may not be maintaining anything. You can't protect data you've forgotten exists. The process: log in, download anything worth keeping, remove saved payment details and your address, then use the site's delete option. If there isn't one, look for a privacy contact and ask. Where deletion was truly impossible, I swapped the details for placeholders and set a long random password. And while you're in there, look at security questions. If you ever answered 'mother's maiden name' truthfully, treat that answer as public. I store random answers in the manager now, same as passwords.
