combine went past the house at 11pm with every light on. looked like a cruise ship lost at sea

harvest is on. haven't seen the neighbours in daylight in a week. you just hear them. rumbling. at all hours

The lights out in the fields this time of year are my favourite constellation. From the highway you can see three or four combines working a section in the dark, all moving slow, like they're thinking something over.
