September in Ottawa: the jacket comes to work with you but it doesn't actually do anything
Six degrees at the bus stop this morning. Twenty-four by lunch. My jacket has spent the whole week riding the bus in, hanging on the back of a chair all day, and riding the bus home again. It's basically on secondment. Shows up every day, no actual duties, gone by spring. I respect it. It's a good jacket.

Create an accountThe official Ottawa answer is a fleece vest, which is a jacket that has committed to nothing. I wear mine from mid-September until the first snow. It knows it isn't a real jacket and it's at peace with that.
