First real aurora of the season and I watched the whole thing from the kitchen in my socks

It's dark enough at night again, finally. Went to put the kettle on a little while ago and the sky over the rooftops was moving. Green, a little pink along the bottom edge, the whole slow curtain routine. I've lived here long enough that I should be used to it. Stood at the window long enough that the tea went cold. Not used to it.

We get them down here too, a few times a season, and every time somebody in town posts 'is anyone else seeing this' like we're all passing around a rumour. Saskatchewan at least has the flat horizon for it.
