Squeezed in one more evening paddle on the canal before the boating season wraps up
Put in at Dow's Lake after work and paddled toward downtown while the light went. The trees along Colonel By are just starting to turn, there were maybe four other boats on the water, and the whole city was doing its commute on the pathways without once looking down at us. The canal closes to boats after Thanksgiving, then they drop the water and we all stand around waiting for it to freeze into the Skateway. I like knowing I got one more in.
