There's a week every September when I stop reaching for anything bright and start pulling out the quiet records. Pink Moon always goes on first. Under half an hour, almost nothing but Nick Drake and a guitar, and it sounds like a room with one lamp on. After that it's usually Astral Weeks, then Either/Or. What's in your early-dark rotation?
