Connected through a college town on a football Saturday and the entire airport was wearing the same colour
Every gate agent, every barista, a pilot's lanyard, a toddler in a jersey down to her knees. The departures board might as well have been a scoreboard. At one point the whole terminal cheered at a TV and the man next to me hugged a total stranger, who hugged him right back, because they were both in orange. I've been through a lot of airports on a lot of Saturdays. Nothing I've seen in pro sports matches the way an entire college town turns into one team for an afternoon.
